8. Pop That Color

Color.

As mentioned in lecture, Sherwin Williams has creative, innovative, and color-popping ads. Whether I'm looking to paint my house a new color, or hustling through a sea of people through campus, my life is a little better when my eye catches that pop of color.

Oregon is dull in the winter time. Sure, on the rare occasional day of sunshine, my statement goes completely down the toilet. In fact, Oregon is extordinary after a rainfall... The air is clear, the sky is a vibrant blue, and the green shrubbery illuminates strongly. But lets be real- about 95% of the winter is dull, grey, and ominous. A pop of color is just what we need to
make our lives a little happier.

Purple is in right now. In the last two weeks, I haven't been able to walk down the street without seeing someone dressed up a bright, purple, something. Could it be a fashion trend? Sure. But I like to think it's something much more interesting. Perhaps people are craving purple? Should we eat more eggplants? Are people unknowingly marketing a lifestyle choice? The consistent stream of purple attire makes me wonder... Something funky is happening.

I found some great examples off Pinterest of color being used as bold statements. Purple not included- I've seen too much recently.
Sexy.
Playful.
Calm.
I want my wedding to have these. Dull in color, but vibrant with light.
